White House Correspondents Dinnerby Sonia Amoako Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016 .
On Saturday the 102nd annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner was held. It was Barack Obama’s last one so we’re sure he enjoyed.
The annual event brings together public figures from the different world of politics, journalists and celebrities.
Check out who attended and what they wore:
The first lady looked beautiful in Givenchy. We’re used to seeing her looking flawless but her last ever White House Correspondents’ Dinner dress was gorgeous. Her champagne coloured gown featured a sheer layer and glamorous embellishment detailing. Her hair was worn sleek and straight resting on her shoulders, whilst her face was beat immaculately. A soft glow and nude glossy pink lips finished off the look perfectly. Many took to social media to share their approval, one tweet pretty much summed it up, ‘Michelle Obama is a vision, but we should be used to that after 8 years.#WHCD.
Gabrielle showed some skin in a strapless gown with low neck and beaded detailing. Her blue velvet clutch matched the black piece with navy blue. Her dark berry lips went well with the gothic like look.
Gugu looked elegant in her floor length blue and purple dress. The low cut neck sheer neckline gave a hint of flesh.
Miss Fox looked sassy in her nude dress with silver detailing. Her accessories of dangly earrings, bracelet and ring added a touch of glam. We love how her hair was worn to the side in soft waves.
Will and Jada Smith
The power couple always get it right. Jada was rocking her braids nicely. She looked chic in an off the shoulder purple satin gown. Whilst Will was dapper in a black tux.
Kerry hid her baby bump in black and by holding her clutch in front of her stomach. Her one shouldered dress cut just above her knees and featured satin ruffled detailing.
The model looked flawless in a strapless Vivienne Westwood couture black gown with a diamond choker necklace. The simple number had a sweetheart neckline and a slit at the bottom. She paired it with strappy black heels and wore a natural make up look, of nude lips and bronzed cheeks.
Emily added sparkle in her emerald green embellished dress. Her hair worn back kept the focus on her outfit and flawless make up.
Tracee Ellis Ross
Yes Miss Ross served in her halter neck black velvet gown. Her big bouncy curls gave a diva like vibe with the chunky clutch bag and statement earrings.
Nene smiled on the red carpet as she posed in her black dress with high split. The top half of the dress gave us gothic glam due to the sheer and lace detail. She added sparkle with her heels and mini silver clutch. Whilst her blonde hair was simple slicked back.
Lala’s fuschia pink dress clung to her curvy frame. The fishtail finish rested on the red carpet. She too went for a slicked back look with her hair, whilst her drop down earrings added a girly finish.
The young model looked angelic in a white floor length gown. Her red lips added a nice pop of colour.
