Check out our favourite looks from this years London Fashion Week:
It’ll be back before we know it with fresh new collections, catwalks and after parties!
Starting off with this piece from Tata Naka‘s latest collection. We’ve said it before, we’ll say it again- we love a co-0rd! It is versatile, gives you options and is easy to style. This stripy two piece stands out due to the vibrant green shade, the use of brown, black and white all compliment each other well. The model wears metallic bronze heels with it, which add a touch of glam. We also love how she rocks her natural hair.
Where would you wear this piece to?
Feeling blue- this midi dress is given an edgy feel due to the exposed shoulder and leg. The model wears matching statement earrings and a bright red lip which makes this design pop. We would add a patent clutch to go with the heels for this look.
The Ashley Williams collection gave us edge with what they had to offer. Oversized blazers being a cool look. Again, another matching set- this trend is here to stay. The printed design was a nice add on to this co-ord as it stood out on the runway. Don’t be afraid to experiment with prints and fabric! The barely there heeled sandals and chunky earrings were key accessories into brining this look together.
Monochrome madness was present in this collection. If you’re not one to go for colour, black and white will always to the job. The model hit the catwalk in a ruffled white shirt, worn underneath a below the knee skirt with criss cross braces. We love the layered look.
It was nice to see some bursts of colour from Ashley Williams. Pretty in pink, the model showed off her toned legs in a above the knee shift dress. This piece would be perfect for a formal occasion such as a wedding, or summer garden party we say. Again this collection included statement earrings and a chunky necklace. A coat thrown over the shoulder and simple bangles would also be a sleek touch.
Emilio De La Morena
The piece below would be nice for a masquerade type of event, due to the cool mask the model wore. It matched her lace gown as she strutted down the runway. The simple bardot style showed some skin, whilst the long dress clung to her figure well.
This is one of the designs that stood out to us the most. The combination of ruffles, sheer, lace and mesh was a lot, but worked well. We wonder how well the model could see with that white lace mask over her eyes?! The deep plunge neckline was semi covered with the the mesh layering. Black leggings worn underneath the skirt kept the focus on the layering and fabrics used which we loved.
And another Emilio De La Morena creation. Again, the use of different textures and layering made the design pop. The black and coral pink shade worked well together, whilst the long leather gloves added a sassy feel. The model rocked black underwear with a sheer skirt which was semi hidden by the over the knee boots.
Mila Schon gave us chic and sophisticated with this oversized soft pink coat and matching trousers. The leather pink bottoms were baggy and loose, making this outfit look very comfy- but smart! The black scarf still made the look a feminine one. We like how the models hair was slicked back to show off her naturally beat face. The minimal look was a hit.
The oversized look was definitely a theme which ran well through the collection. This zesty lime free suit was paired with a silver/grey scarf opposed to black. A masculine look with feminine touches we’d say. Again, the models hair was slicked back to show her features. We’re not sure where we would wear this outfit to, but we like it!
Would you wear an oversized suit?
Hands down, this collection was fun, bright and bold. It stood out for all the right reasons. There is no rule to fashion, and Ashish channelled this well. The chocolate skinned model looks beautiful in this shiny mini dress. A lot of thigh action was going on but her figure pulled it off perfectly. The nude coloured afro matched the shade well whilst she strutted her stuff. This piece makes us want to put it on and go out, afro wig and all!
The pink iridescent two piece featured embellished detailing on the top and bottoms. The bubble gum pink wig and heels matched. This design reminds us of ice cream for some reason.
And lastly this funky lilac creation. The model showed off her toned abs in a crop top and matching skirt. The embellished faux fur worn over her arms added a luxurious and glamorous feel. The cotton candy like afro matched her soft lilac lip and heels.
