SAG Awards 2016- Red Carpet + A list of the winnersby Tasharna Brown-Taylor Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 .
The 2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAGS) took place over the weekend where hollywood celebrated the best achievements in film and TV over the last year. The event took place at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Many celebrities attended and we have to say, some of them were looking amazing and to top it off some off our favourite black actors/ actresses were winning through out the night.

Actress/singer and producer Queen Latifah looked stunning in her black fitted Michael Costello gown. The 45-year-old won an award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Miniseries or Television Movie.
British actor Idris Elba looked very handsome in his navy blue suit. The ‘Luther’ actor who won Best Male Actor in a Supporting Role and Best Male Actor in a Television Movie or Mini Series brought along his daughter Isan Elba as his date for the night.
Anthony Mackie looked great in his navy blue Brunello Cucinelli tuxedo and Louis Leeman shoes.
‘How To Get Away With Murder‘ actress Viola Davis look amazing in her lavender Zac Posen Dress. Her husband Julius Tennon also attended showing his wife some major support. The 50-year-old won the award for Outstanding Female Actor in a TV Drama.
‘Orange is The New Black‘ star, Uzo Aduba looked glamorous in her emerald green Zac Posen dress. The 34-year-old actress won the award for Best Female Actor In a Comedy and another award with her ‘OITNB’ cast members for Best Ensemble In a Comedy Series.
Laverne Cox looked beautiful in her red bordeaux draped chiffon gown with a high slit by Prabal Gurung, Stuart Weitzman heels and Lorraine Schwartz jewels.
Samira Wiley, wore a white Chrstian Siriano dress as she posed alongside her girlfriend, Lauren Morelli who is a writer for ‘OITNB‘.
‘Scandal‘ star, Katie Lowes looked great in her figure hugging Christian Siriano gown.
The ‘Straight Outta Compton’ cast, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Neil Brown Jr., Aldis Hodge & O’Shea Jackson Jr., made sure they were looking smart for the awards ceremony.
Presenter of the night Taye Diggs looked very dapper in his green blazer.
Eva Longoria showed plenty of skin in her green Julien Macdonald backless gown.
70 year-old actress Helen Mirren looked beautiful in a silver sequinned gown by Jenny Packham.
Titanic’ co stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet shared a laugh as they walked the red carpet. The 40-year-old actress wore a green Armani gown.
Rachel McAdams looked gorgeous in her black sequinned gown by Elie Saab.
The newlywed couple Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello looked great as they posed on the red carpet. The ‘Modern family’ star wore a pretty pink Vera Wang dress.
‘Mom’ star Anna Faris looked exquisite in a red gown by Naeem Khan with a slit on the side.
‘The Big Bang Theory’ star Kaley Cuoco brought her sister, Briana as her date for the night.
Kunal Nayyar and his wife of four years, Neha Kapur posed on the red carpet together.
E! News anchor Zuri Hall looked AMAZING in her silver floor length gown.
