It’s hard to feel sorry for supermodels when they are collecting million pound paychecks, however some of them do have a tough time getting to the top. Supermodel Jourdan Dunn revealed through tell all interview with a leading British Newspaper that she was bullied as a teen.

In an interview with The Times, Jourdan said she was often picked on throughout her entire school life until it got so bad that she had to be home-schooled.

‘I didn’t want to leave the house,’ she remembered.

She added: ‘I didn’t want to look in the mirror. I would feel physically sick. I hated being me.’

London Born Jourdan Dunn, has revealed that as a teenager she was the victim of horrid bullies who teased her over her height and model looks to the point of where she was physically sick.

The 5ft 11in stunner  who is the new face Maybelline New York, has been creating huge strides in her career which includes walking for Prada and gracing the cover of British Vogue.

After being scouted 24 year old Dunn still had to deal with high levels of racism in the global fashion industry and the hurtful rejection that came with it.

Jourdan Dunn who has had her fair share of troubles also has a five year old of son with Sickle Cell, a disease that largely affects the black population and is characterised with chronic pain, anemia, and organ failure.

Her story is inspiring not only for anyone that has been bullied for their looks, but also to every woman of colour that is striving for success in the  fashion industry.
