The holiday collection, titled Black Orchid  includes  bras, corsets, underwear plus more in purple, black and blue shades. They have been specifically designed to complement the curves of fuller figured women. We like that this show portrayed diversity on the catwalk, whether it be shape, size or colour. Along with not sticking to the stereotypical thin model. Every model walked down the catwalk with confidence while wearing a pieces from the new  collection, which featured  lace lined satin bras, high waisted underwear and corsets. The runway show also featured several day wear items including baby doll dresses, tops, skirts and suede jackets.

Body positive activist Ashley is no stranger to ground breaking modelling, she was the first plus size model to grace the pages of Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit Issue. During the show, guests were encouraged to use the hashtag #IAmSizeSexy to promote body diversity at the event, which is usually dominated by slender models.

The idea mirrors another movement Ashley is involved in with plus size retailer Lane Bryant’s, the #PlusIsEqual campaign. Ashley and fellow models Candice Huffine, Precious Lee, Justine Legault, Sabina Karlsson and Georgia Pratt turned out to support the campaign at Times Square on Monday.
