Ashley Graham Debuts Plus Size Swim Wear Lineby Sonia Amoako Saturday, June 4th, 2016 .
Ashley Graham‘s first ever swimwear swimwear has been released.
She joined forces with plus size retailer swimsuitsforall for the collaboration. The 11 piece collection offers a mix of string bikinis and one pieces with cut outs and chic detailing, some including Swarovski crystals.
She told Daily Mail Online, ‘I think everyone should wear a bikini and be comfortable in their skin. We are truly in the curvy girl era that celebrates women owning their natural and curvaceous bodies.’
However, she knows that not all women are ready to slip on a teeny tiny bikini to hit the beach—and there’s nothing wrong with that!
‘Embrace your curves and do what feels right. The road to accepting your body can be long and it’s very personal.’
We love how she can relate to women, and in return they can with her. In 2015, Ashley starred in a swimsuitsforall campaign and became the first plus size model to appear in an ad featured in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue which was a great accomplishment. She made history again when she covered the iconic edition, which also features her editorial and second campaign for swimsuitsforall. The size 14 model explained that she used her experience as a swimwear model when designing the collection. By her posing in bikinis and one pieces often she ‘knows what to look for in a good one.
Of the design process she was ‘inspired by confident women everywhere. So many women have stepped up to be advocates for body acceptance, and I wanted to create a line that was strong and sexy—just like them.’
This ones for you ladies! It’s clear that she intended to provide women with a variety of styles that suit every body type. From itty bitty bikinis to strappy and studded one pieces. The line is designed with real women’s bodies in mind. Keep an eye out for curve flattering fun designs. In keeping with Ashley’s curve loving confidence, each piece reflects the season’s hottest swimwear trends. From a neon one piece with zippers, to mesh and studs, cut outs plus more. This collection is anything but boring and embraces fearless, flattering styles for curvy women everywhere.
