Amber Rose Covers Cosmopolitan South Africaby Sonia Amoako Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 .
Amber Rose covers the October issue of Cosmopolitan South Africa.
The self proclaimed ‘MILF’ looks sweet as she poses with her hands on her hips in a cute two piece outfit. The long sleeved crop top shows a hint of skin, as the high waisted mini skirt clings to her curves. In the latest issue, she takes on sexism, where she discusses that she finds it unfair and sexist that she is still often labelled as a ‘stripper’ despite all her accomplishments. Especially since the talented actor Channing Tatum who also used to be a stripper prior to his acting days but is not still labelled that like her.
She drew comparison by saying, ‘Channing Tatum was a stripper. He was a stripper just like me, then he became a professional model, just like I did. I was signed to Ford Models in New York.’
Amber first stripped aged just 15 but quit, she later took it up again from the ages of 18 to 25. Channing started stripping when he was 19, after dropping out of the University of South Florida.
She went on to say, ‘He even made a movie about being a stripper! And everyone bought it and they loved it and they were like, “Oh my God, Magic Mike, we gotta go see it!” But if I did that, people would tell me I was disgusting. I run eight business, I’m the CEO of my own company, and still I’m called a stripper. It’s so ridiculous. We’ve had the same life, and I, and I’m dumbed down for it. It’s not his fault — it’s just society.’
Unfortunately it is society.
What do you think?
Amber is definitely a independent working woman, she launched a clothing line called Rose & Ono, published a book, ‘How to be a Bad B***h and created the girl power ‘Slut Walk’. Along with starring in her own talk show, creating her successful emoji app and most importantly raising three year old son Sebastian with ex husband Wiz Khalifa.
— who posed for a photoshoot for the magazine in her own Los Angeles home —
‘Everything I’ve done, I’ve worked hard for. Anyone can have fame, but I’ve started companies. I’ve brought my brand to the next level. Nobody did that but me. No one is going to dim my light.’
And rightly so!
And we must say, she looked great in the photos taken in her LA home.
