Alexander Wang enlists 38 celebrities for his ‘Do Something’ campaignby Tasharna Brown-Taylor Wednesday, September 2nd, 2015 .
Alexander Wang is one of the most talented designers in the world. He won his first CDFA in 2008 and he has collaborated with popular retail shops like H&M. In honour of his 10th anniversary the designer has collaborated with a charity called ‘Do Something‘ which supports youth and social change.
For the campaign Wang brought in some of his celebrity friends to take part and wear the ‘Do Something‘ products which consisted of two t-shirts ($45) and a hoodie ($85) with the ‘Do Something’ logo on it.
Speaking on the campaign he told Yahoo Style, “When it came down to planning the campaign, Wang had plenty of famous friends to recruit. “We felt like, let’s do a campaign and bring together people that we really respect or who have been a big part of our brand, who helped support us, who’ve given us support, been supporting us all these years,”
The Weeknd, Kanye West, Kim Kardashian, Taraji P Henson, Jhene Aiko, Pusha T, Rod Stewart, Joan Smalls, A$AP Rocky, Tyga, Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne were some of the celebrities who took part in the campaign.
