Do you love the African Culture? If yes come down to Trafalgar Square on Saturday 10th October and celebrate with us.
The festival was launched in 2014 and was a big hit when over 20,00 people attended. So this year it’s back and it’s better than ever.
There’s a packed line-up of entertainment that includes live music, DJs, dancing and a talent show. An African fashion show , market and food stalls will also be included. Bring your kids along to as there will be lots of kiddy activities for them to do.
The live music and entertainment includes performances by Afla Sackey and Afrik Bawantu (Ghana), Saidi Kanda and Mvula Mandondo (Tanzania), Krar Collective (Ethiopia), Tony Dudu and the Gumbe Jazz (Guinea Bissau) and also Abdoulaye Samb and Minnjiaraby (Senegal).
Africa on the Square is organised by the Mayor of London for Black History Month 2015. The event is sponsored by Lebara and Air France, with media partner support from The Voice. It is programmed by Open the Gate.
The festival is free and is open to everyone.
